Through its local chapters, IAFI seeks to bring the Ice Age Floods story home to local communities, especially in areas directly affected by the floods. While one need not belong to a local chapter to be a member of IAFI, a chapter offers an excellent way for members to get involved in IAFI projects and activities, and to build partnerships in their communities.
When you join IAFI, you can also join a local chapter. You may affiliate with any chapter you wish, regardless of where you live. - Cheney-Spokane Chapter – covering the greater Cheney and Spokane, WA area.
- Coeur Du Deluge Chapter – covering the greater Sandpoint, ID area.
- Columbia River Gorge Chapter – covering the Columbia Gorge area of north-central Oregon and south-central WA .
- Ellensburg Chapter – covering the greater Ellensburg, WA area.
- Glacial Lake Missoula Chapter – covering the greater Missoula, MT area
- Lake Lewis Chapter – covering the greater Tri-Cities, WA area.
- Lower Grand Coulee Chapter – covering the greater Soap Lake and Ephrata, WA area.
- Lower Columbia Chapter – covering the Willamette Valley and lower Columbia River of north-west OR.
- Palouse Falls Chapter – covering western Whitman Co., northern Franklin Co., and all of Adams Co., WA .
- Puget Lobe Chapter – covering the greater Puget Sound region of WA.
- Wenatchee Valley Erratics Chapter – covering the greater Wenatchee, WA area.
