The Missoula Floods and the SVRP Aquifer

March 3 @ 6:45 pm - 8:00 pm PST

The Lake Lewis chapter of the Ice Age Floods Institute will host a free Zoom lecture exploring the dramatic creation of the Spokane Valley – Rathdrum Prairie (SVRP) Aquifer! As part of our 2026 public lecture series exploring key features along the path of the Missoula Floods, we’ll investigate the vast and vital groundwater system that continues to supply water to hundreds of thousands of people. We’ll explore the impact of the ancient floods on the creation of the SVRP and some of the unique qualities of this important resource.
