New IAFI Newsletter, New Format, Check It Out

Check out the July 2017 Ice Age Floods Institute newsletter, it’s got a whole new look. With this new format we are trying to make the newsletter shorter, easier to read, and more visually appealing with short teasers and web links that lead to the full articles online. We really hope this new format will appeal to our members and will help attract new members.

Please take a look at the newsletter below or online at, and maybe even compare it to the previous Fall 2016 newsletter. We’d love to hear what you think of the new format and gather any suggestions you may have to improve it by taking a very brief survey. That feedback will be extremely helpful as we continue making improvements.

The new format is also easier and quicker for us to put together, so we expect the newsletter to be more timely and interesting for readers as we are able to publish more often. Remember, getting the newsletter awhile before it is posted on the website is just one of the perks of being an IAFI member. So JOIN TODAY!

Another advantage is when the newsletter is emailed to members, the email opens immediately into the newsletter, and it adjusts automatically for viewing clearly on either computer or mobile device screens. The newsletter itself and the individually linked articles can still be printed for hardcopy viewing, but we can now put your time, our time, and the high cost of producing, printing and mailing a printed newsletter to better use in learning, promoting, educating, and researching about the Ice Age Floods.
