Leaders for this popular hike are Lloyd Stoess and Gene Kiver.  With them, you will hike eight (8) miles up the Palouse Canyon to Palouse Falls.  This trail emphasizes the Ice Age Floods story and the local Native American and settlement history.  

On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the most difficult, this hike rates as a “10”.  A hiker should be in good physical shape (i.e., be able to hike three (3) miles without breaks).  It is suggested that participants do some up and down hill hiking prior to the fieldtrip.  A hiker should not have serious heart or vertigo problems.  Children must be at least age 10 and must be accompanied by an adult hiker. No pets are permitted on this hike.
