Icicle Canyon from Leavenworth

The Icicle Glacier, an alpine glacier in our own backyard, had multiple advances and retreats over the last 100,000 years. It has left both erosional and depositional features that we can easily see in the landscape that tell us a little about its dynamic history. We’ll learn about the features left behind by an alpine glacier and look at lots of photos of those same features in the Icicle canyon.
