Hot off the electronic press is the summer edition of the Scablander, our chapter’s newsletter detailing past and upcoming events.
As discussed in the newsletter, we have several opportunities for our members to attend an upcoming Traveling Lecture Series; a talk with information that complements the field trip we will be offering this fall.
Both the lecture series’ and the trip’s contents are focused on “Changing the Course of the Palouse River,” and will detail and show how a geologic event called “stream capture” played out in the Washtucna Coulee. A registration form for the field trip is attached to the Scablander for your convenience.
Fair and festival season is around the corner as well, and you can find information on where we’ll be popping up this fall. Stop by and say “hi!” if you happen to be at one of the fairs.
It’s also renewal season for a lot of our members, so you will find a current membership application in there as well. We appreciate your continued support.
